It’s Groundhog Day and Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow. That means six more weeks of winter folks. We are hoping his prediction is wrong and we will see spring weather soon!
Here’s a little information about groundhogs. Groundhogs have short ears and a short tail, and can weigh up to 11 pounds. They have two layers of fur: A dense grey undercoat and a longer coat of banded guard hairs that gives the groundhog a “frosted” appearance. Despite how they look, groundhogs are good swimmers and tree climbers. (Photo of a groundhog eating a flower at Shenandoah National Park by National Park Service. — at Shenandoah National Park.)
Happy News about several pets that have found their Forever homes!
Summer was adopted by Cindy Cooper and her boys, Josh (shown here) and Justin. We are very confident that our Summer has found the home she deserves. Thanks to Terry, Steve, and Nick for fostering Summer for about a month. This sweet little girl was ready to go to the Cooper home and become the companion that Cindy and her boys have been looking for.
Gizmo who will now be called Toby went to his Forever home. Barbara his new Mom let us know that Toby met the neighbors dog and then came inside slept by her feet, making himself right at home. The grandkids came by fell in love with him and Barbara could not be more pleased.
Thank you to our Petco team these two kittens – Thumper and Boo – were adopted together. They will have a wonderful, loving home.
